Strategic partnership between the two organizations supports positive
impact of service My Stone Company, creators of The Friendship Stone,
and Big Brothers Big Sisters today announced a cause-marketing strategic
partnership. The agreement aims to promote The Power of Two Friendship Stones’
support of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the nation’s largest donor-supported volunteer
mentoring network for youth.

My Stone Company will donate 20% of net sales from all purchases of the Power of Two
stone packages bought on the joint www.BigBrothersBigSisters-TheFriendshipStone.com
website, back to Big Brothers Big Sisters. 15% of the 20% will go to the local
Big Brothers Big Sisters agency based on the purchaser’s zip code. In addition,
My Stone Company will donate $2,200 annually to cover the expenses for successful matches of “Bigs” and “Littles.” The company also donated hundreds of The Power of Two Stone Packs to promote stronger connections between Bigs and Littles and highlight the partnerships. The Power of Two Friendship Stone is a gift package consisting of two Friendship Stones, two embroidered pouches, and one blank gift card for one’s personal story of friendship. Meant to be given away, The Friendship Stone is a keepsake and tangible reminder that the one who gave it is always there for the receiver.

Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children of single, low-income and incarcerated parents. The network is proven by longstanding independent research to improve kids’ odds for achieving educationally and socially. A new study conducted for Big Brothers Big Sisters By Harris Interactive® shows adult Littles are more likely than peers who were not involved in the program to earn four-year college degrees and have household incomes of $75,000 or more; and they are more likely to have strong family relationships.
