The happy alliance that is My Stone Company, has its roots in family and friendship. The deep friendships between Cathy, her sister Jill, her best friend Laure and Shari, form the keystone of the My Stone Company and its affiliates.
Cathy Raff - Founder and President
Born in Florida, Cathy grew up in Columbus, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Texas with a BA Honors in Journalism, specialising in photojournalism, going on to study in Pasadena, California at the Art Center College of Design. Cathy moved to Israel at 25 and she has lived there for 23 years. A talented and prominent food and portrait photographer, Cathy went on to form the My Stone Company in 2005. Jill Raff - US Spokesperson - Inspirational Gift Specialist
Sister to Cathy, Jill now lives in New York City. After receiving her BA from the University of Texas in Austin, Jill achieved a BFA in Fashion Design from the Parson School of Design, working for Anne Klein and Co under Louis Dell'Olio before re-locating to Italy, where she worked for several Italian Fashion Design Houses, including designing for Les Copains. After working as a knitwear designer, Jill became a Food Stylistand received a Grande Diploma in French Cuisine and Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu, working as a Food Stylist for TV morning shows, cookbooks, magazines and promotional events.
Lauré grew up on a small farm in southern Colorado, moving to Los Angeles and receiving a BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Before re-locating to Massachusetts, she was a studio manager for a Los Angles architecture photographer studio. Lauré now designs outstanding art quilts and shows and sells her work to private buyers as well as exhibiting in galleries in the New England area.
Born in Southern Ontario, Shari moved to Israel when she was just 19. After her studies in History at Tel AvivUniversity, Shari worked in the fashion industry and was manager of Castro, Israel's leading women's fashion house flagship store. Shari worked as a diamond broker before moving into the world of computers and the hi-tech industry and eventually joining the My Stone Company as Web Producer.and Social Media Manager
Marcia Raff is My Stone Company's creative consultant. She is a professional sculptor and member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, the International Sculptors Society USA, an Exhibiting Artist Member of the National Arts Club, USA, the Pen & Brush Club,
NYC and an Associate Member of the Allied Artists, NYC. Marcia has twelve monumental sculptures on exhibit in international public places. Among her many accomplishments and creative talents, in 1970 she designed the Big Mac purse for McDonalds which became an instant success.
